Our mission is to: PREPARE students to face political, social and environmental issues of the future by educating them today, PROTECT the natural habitat not only in the New Albany area but also encourage global preservation, and PROMOTE public education as the Environmental Stewardship Education Center authentically demonstrates sustainable methods of design and environmentally friendly practices.
This website is a way to interactively review information, documents, and designs of the New Albany Environmental Stewardship Education Center as new material develops and becomes available. In the briefest sense, the end product that we are striving for is a place that facilitates nature and environmental education for not only the New Albany Plain Local School District but also the surrounding community. The word “stewardship” is a constant reminder that we all must learn to live more sustainably as we continue to preserve and protect our natural habitat.
Rachel Kruse is a student in the AP Environmental Science and Architecture and Construction Management Programs and is the primary designer and project head. As work is completed and progress is made, updates will be made available on this website.
